India's youngest and only profitable mobile services provider Reliance Jio on Thursday formally launched its wired broadband offering JioFiber starting at ₹699, which enables high speed internet and video calling with free voice calls. The company will be sharing information on Jio Fiber plans, Home Phone landline service (also known as Fixed Voice), Set-Top Box, content partnerships, preview plan migration, and more.

The Jio First Day First Show offer will also let Premium JioFiber customers watch movies on their TVs on the same day as their theatrical release. The ₹849 plan has 200 GB data and all other benefits, while the most expensive plans, namely, Platinum offers 2,500 GB for ₹3,999 and Titanium plan offers 5,000 GB for ₹8,499 at 1 GBPS speeds. It also drove down mobile data prices sharply in India.

A major shake-up in the market - with smaller broadband players simply folding up (very few will be acquired) - is not a matter of if, but when.
