Amazon's new Fire TV Cube is faster at understanding your voice commands

Amazon's new Fire TV Cube is faster at understanding your voice commands

One part is an Anker-made soundbar, and and the other is a Fire TV - even it's not quite as powerful as some of the other. As a result, we're going to see the Fire TV sets arrive in the UK, Germany and Austria for the very first time.

Of the new devices, the new Fire TV Cube is one of the more interesting additions to the lineup as it represents the second generation, and a big upgrade, over the existing product. You only need to hook up the soundbar to your TV, and you'll be able to stream and watch content as if you had a stand-alone Fire TV.

Amazon's new Fire TV Cube is available for preorder right now, and will begin shipping on October 10 in the US, UK, Canada and Germany, and later in Japan.

Amazon is also bringing the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, and the Alexa Voice Remote with device control to customers in France, Italy, and Spain today. Some folks may not want to compromise on audio quality for the sake of stuffing in streaming video, and it's unclear whether people will understand the concept of a soundbar that effectively replaces their smart TV or streaming stick.

The company has also announced various Fire TV Edition products; these are essentially regular products built by other companies, but have Amazon's Fire TV software and capabilities built in.

If you've been waiting to get a new Fire TV, right now might be as good as time as any.

Amazon, the online shopping and tech giant has just launched a whole range of new Fire TV products, including a 2nd generation Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Edition soundbar and a raft of new Fire TV Edition televisions, including its first ever OLED model.

Apple reportedly targeting second-gen iPhone SE launch for early 2020
Apple is still producing the iPhone 8 in India, although the 8 doesn't boast the same level of performance as the 2019 lineup. The report also stated that it will feature Apple's A13 processor and a single-lens camera on the back.

"Fire TV Cube was the first hands-free streaming media player powered by Alexa, and since launching previous year we have gathered a wealth of feedback from customers about how they use voice in the living room", said Marc Whitten, Vice President of Amazon Fire TV, in a statement.

The Fire TV Cube will also ship with far-field voice recognition capabilities with 8 microphones and technology that helps to suppress noise, reverberation, content now playing, and even competing speech so Alexa better hears your voice commands even when the TV is on in a room full of people.

In Germany they'll get premium OLED TVs - a first for Fire TV.

Amazon has spearheaded the launch of even more TVs with the Fire TV OS on - particularly in Europe.

The Nebula is Amazon's first foray into smart soundbars, but it's not the first product of its kind. They'll be available at Amazon UK as well as at Currys PC World. This soundbar includes 4K HDR support, Dolby Vision pass-through, its own smart TV interface and the ability to use Alexa to control apps and power up (or down) your system through the supplied voice remote. A new 65-inch Toshiba with Dolby Vision will be available in the USA next month.

Amazon also launched a partnership with Eurosport and Discovery in Europe. There's also a Grundig TV Hands Free Edition that has fully-integrated Alexa.
