Miniature Horse Travels on Plane

Captured by several people, flying on an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Omaha, the pictures and videos of this unusual - and somewhat freaky - incident flooded various social media platforms. American Airlines states that they accept service dogs, cats and miniature horses on board.

In the U.S., service animals and registered emotional support animals are permitted on flights, though they are usually dogs or cats.

"There was a small horse in line at the airport today and I'm curious about it", Twitter user Amberley Babbage said alongside a picture of Flirty with Hensley at the AA check-in desk.

Although Flirty herself was perfectly calm about the whole business, she managed to cause something of a stir among fellow passengers and those who spotted the little mare checking in at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) on August 29, 2019.

A miniature horse that goes by the name of "Flirty The Mini Service Horse" was seen taking flight on a regional jet this past Friday, kicking off the long weekend by supporting her owner, Abrea Hensley, during her travels.

She continued: "Once we got up to cruising altitude, she took a nap and was very quiet".

She added that she will be sticking mostly to auto travel after this trip since Hensley's home airport is very small and she anxious about Flirty bumping into people and things. "Flirty" has her own Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Fortunately, they were welcomed onto the plane by American Airlines.

The airline crew took a photo.

Hensley, who reportedly suffers from PTSD, does not care about the haters and is continuing to live her best life with her 7-year-old mini horse.

Ms Hensley is allergic to dogs.
