Manchester United move was right call, says Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United move was right call, says Alexis Sanchez

'I'm very happy I went to Manchester United, ' Sanchez said.

Sanchez became the highest-paid player in the Premier League when he joined United in a swap deal featuring Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with his miserable spell in Manchester coming to what be a temporary halt when he joined Inter Milan on loan earlier this week. Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku have looked good together as a partnership and have three goals between them in Inter's two Serie A games so far. It's the club that's won the most in England.

"But Manchester United was growing at the time, they were buying players to win something, and I wanted to join them to win everything". After staring them down, he drained the goal - which ended up being the game victor, leading them to a 2-1 win. "But sometimes I would play 60 minutes and I would not play the next one, and I did not know why".

At the time Sanchez's transfer was seen as a coup for the Red Devils who reportedly beat off competition from rivals Manchester City for his signature.

Sanchez agreed to join Inter after falling out of favour at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. "I don't regret going there".

And Sanchez believes that, if he's given the opportunity to play regularly - having completed 90 minutes in just 13 games for United - he can show his best.

The former Barcelona player netted as many as 80 goals in 166 matches for Arsenal in a time span of almost four years.

Arsenal winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan set to join AS Roma on loan
The 19-year-old had a successful loan spell in Germany last season and he has this season been promoted to the first team. Roma have reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a season-long loan deal.

So disastrous has his signing been for United that it even provoked a big change in the club's recruitment strategy this summer.

However, former Man United striker Louis Saha is not convinced Lingard is the right man, insisting he is not happy with the idea. The presence of Conte was important, he conveys confidence to the players.

"I think that I'm happy when I play for my national team", he added.

But the Chilean forward insists he was "ready to play" after the Copa America.

"I felt fine", he said.

"We are a multiethnic fans organisation and we have always welcomed players from everywhere. You need to ask him this question, not me".
