Taylor Swift's 'Lover' debuts at number one

Keith Urban and Taylor Swift have been friends for over a decade and what better way to support your friend's new album than performing it live?

She also sang her Red track "Holy Ground" and a cover of "Can't Stop Loving You" from Phil Collins' 2002 LP Testify.

The star thanked her fans on social media for a massive week.

"Every now and then you hear a song that you love and wish you'd written.... and a HUGE thx to my band as well - we didn't get to rehearse so.... this is us fully winging it", Urban wrote on Instagram, posting a video of his performance.

As soon as the video hit, social media erupted with comments saying the song was the ideal wedding song, great for dances, including first dances at wedding receptions and for anniversaries.

Darling, it was good... listening to Taylor Swift perform a stripped down version of "Holy Ground" on her BBC Radio 1 appearance.

"Keith Urban covering "Lover" flawlessly", she wrote. The country-turned-pop superstar has scored the biggest album debut since her own Reputation album in 2017 with her new album, Lover. But for those fans of Taylor's who miss her country songs, Keith delivered.

Swift's seventh album, also titled "Lover", dropped on August 23.

Lover has already produced three Top 3 ARIA singles, with its title track landing at #3 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
