Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's account hacked, flooded with racist messages

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was hacked on his own platform, his company said, with a torrent of unusual tweets sent from his account.

The hacker posted a series of offensive messages from Dorsey's including racial slurs and re-tweeted a message supporting Nazi Germany. They were up for about 20 minutes before being deleted, and included shoutouts to other Twitter users.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., Dorsey's account tweeted out "Shoutout Debut, Corey, NuBLoM, Joe, Owen, & Aqua", apparently the names of a group of hackers calling themselves #ChucklingHella. Twitter said it is investigating the matter further.

In fact, these hackers warned netizens that they weren't finished with their plans, writing, "We will be coming for everyone" using the account of makeup mogul James Charles.

Some of the tweets contained the hashtag #ChucklingSquad which was believed to indicate the identity of the hacker group.

The offending tweets have been largely removed, but some of them remain.

"If you can't protect Jack, you can't protect... jack", one Twitter user quipped.
