Patriots lose David Andrews; trade for pair of offensive linemen

With the regular season slated to kick off next week, the former Montevallo High School standout is the second offensive lineman acquired by the Patriots this week. It also reflects how the club is adjusting without starting center David Andrews (blood clots in the lungs), with his absence having a trickle-down effect on the interior of the line. Cardinals offensive tackle Korey Cunningham announced in a now-deleted Instagram post that he was also traded to the Patriots. I have been traded to the New England Patriots.

He has played in 17 games over the last two years, making three starts. Especially with the best offensive line coach in the business, Dante Scarnecchia, still at the controls, New England should be able to survive the transition from Andrews to Karras this season. Humphries was injured. At 6-foot-6 and 311 pounds with decent technique, Cunningham is worth the cost of a sixth-round pick.

Cunningham played in six games for the Cardinals last season.

Klopp announces sabbatical after Liverpool era
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been touted as a potential replacement for Klopp, should the German leave in 2022. Klopp left the role at Dortmund after the end of 2014-15 season.

The Patriots' trade for offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor is the latest in a string of draft pick swaps by Bill Belichick in recent years. There is cautious optimism at this point that Wynn can be a full-go come September 8 at the all-important left tackle spot, but it's still prudent for the team to have backup plans in place should he struggle or regress in his injury rehab at any point.

Eluemunor, an interior lineman, played in 17 games for the Ravens including two starts after being selected in the fifth round of the 2017 National Football League draft.
