Apple releases first iOS 13.1 developer beta

Apple releases first iOS 13.1 developer beta

Needless to say, this situation is highly unusual. But it also makes sense.

You can expect iOS 13 to be released around mid-September or whenever Apple decides to officially announce what's in store for the iPhone 11 series. Apple has been beta-testing this major update with developers (and anyone willing to try it) for the past few months.

Speaking with Motherboard last week, security researcher Jonathan Levin said that with "12.4 being the latest version of iOS now available and the only one which Apple allows upgrading to, for the next couple of days (till 12.4.1 comes out), all devices of this version (or any 11.x and 12.x below 12.3) are jail breakable - which means they are also vulnerable to what is effectively a 100+ day exploit".

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has released a new software update for its iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook and Apple TV users. That implies that nobody has been agreeable towards publishing jailbreak codes obtainable for free as Apple would fast fix it with a security patch. Also, this could imply that Apple is planning to release iOS 13.1 as a quick follow-up to the iOS 13 with feature enhancements and bug fixes.

Hurricane tracker: Follow path of Dorian
Right now the hurricane center's forecast has Dorian turning north while it is over the middle of the Florida peninsula. A handful of the storms did go into the Gulf of Mexico, and only a few made landfall in Florida.

A stronger battery, subscription reminders, and other features ZDNet's Adrian Kingsley-Hughes discusses the latest features that iOS 13 has to offer, including one that will help users manage digital versions of their IDs all in one place.

It doesn't really affect you.

If not, then its likely you already installed it or your device updated automatically. It's notable since it's only a week after the last round of iOS 13 betas, and the 13.1 label suggests testing on the previous builds is over.
