Moulton is set to announce the end of his campaign during remarks to the Democratic National Committee.

Accordingly, Inslee announced on Wednesday that he was officially ending his presidential campaign after struggling to meet the threshold for a series of upcoming debates. I had Marines from Texas, from MA, from all over.

The congressman failed to register in national or statewide polls and did not garner the needed fundraising to qualify for either the June or July Democratic debates.

"Candidly, getting in the race late was a mistake", Moulton said.

Biden represents the more centrist faction of the Democratic Party, while Warren, of MA, and Sanders, of Vermont, back more liberal policies.

Moulton said he had no plans to endorse a fellow contender but spoke warmly of Joe Biden, adding the race had essentially come down to the former vice president, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders.

Moulton's low-key presence on the campaign trail, however, did little to win him notice. Only 10 candidates have qualified so far out of a field of 21.

Moulton said he worries that "veering too far left could lose us this election" and warned his party against embracing Medicare-for-all proposals on health care.

Moulton plans to stay active in national politics in the coming months with events for veterans and for fellow Democrats through his Serve America PAC.

In 2018, Moulton said his election to the House was a call for change, particularly pushing back against then-Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).

On Monday, Moulton will host a veterans' town hall meeting in Fairfax, Va., with retired Army Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the former commander of US forces in Afghanistan.
