For the past one month, it was reported that the Stamford Bridge landlords have been in talks with the 18-year-old winger to convince him about commiting his future to the Blues.

He returned to full training this week after surgery in Barcelona in April and has been earmarked for a return to action after the global break in the first two weeks of September.

The club posted three images on Twitter with the caption "CALLUM!"

English born Ghanaian forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned to Chelsea training on Tuesday as the teenager steps up his return to fitness.

'He's getting closer, ' said the boss.

Hudson-Odoi struggled to secure a starting XI berth under former boss Maurizio Sarri but new head coach Frank Lampard has been vocal in his backing. "The injury looks good, which is great news".

He is, however, expected to play an important part under Lampard despite stalling over signing a new five-year contract worth £100,000-a-week to stay at Stamford Bridge. He's going to have to be fitter than he's ever been - because I'm going to want him to run.
