Prince Andrew rejects involvement in Epstein sex scandal

The Mail on Sunday said the clip depicted the Duke of York in the doorway of the NY mansion of convicted paedophile Epstein, who took his own life in a Manhattan jail cell earlier this month.

Buckingham Palace released the following statement in response to the charges.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has said he is "appalled" by sex abuse claims directed at his friend and former financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The palace issued the statement on Andrew's behalf after new video footage emerged that appeared to show the prince at the Manhattan home of Epstein in 2010.

The Duke of York released a statement Monday after footage emerged over the weekend which claimed to show the royal inside the convicted pedophile's NY mansion in 2010 - two years after Epstein first pleaded guilty to sex crimes. In the video, the prince is speaking to a brunette woman, before peering around the door and ducking back inside.

"His Royal Highness deplores the exploitation of any human being and the suggestion he would condone, participate in or encourage any such behaviour is abhorrent", the Palace said.

Senior White House officials eye tax cut to avert slowdown
The White House disputed the reports in a statement to the Post, saying " cutting payroll taxes is not something under consideration at this time".

Virginia Roberts, one of the alleged victims now named Virginia Giuffre, claimed in the documents she was forced to have sex with Andrew "three times, including one orgy" when she was 17.

Guiffre says she was coerced into sexual relations with Andrew in London, New York and on Epstein's private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to The Guardian.

Buckingham Palace insisted the accusations against the duke were "false and without any foundation" and added they were "categorically untrue".

The celebration was held on Prince William's 18th birthday, but William was not at the party because he was revising for his A-levels.

- Two days after New York City's Chief Medical Examiner determined that Jeffrey Epstein hung himself in his federal jail cell in Lower Manhattan, new details are coming out about the multimillionaire sex offender's tie as a part-time state prisoner in Florida over a decade ago.
