Unsafe heat on the way as temperatures and humidity continue to rise!

Heavy rain, gusty wind, and hail are all possible, and a tornado can't be ruled out.

We will have showers and storms on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the mid to low 80s. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Tomorrow: Hot, humid, scattered storms. The hottest day is looking like Monday with the best chance for the longest stretch of dry time. Stay hydrated this afternoon and take care to avoid heat related health issues.

So, even though temperatures drop by a couple of degrees as we head into the first half of the week, the heat index will actually be a few degrees higher than it was this weekend. This ridge might break down a bit by the latter part of the week, but we don't see any big relief from the August heat anytime soon.

The front will also bring more scattered showers and thunderstorms to the area Wednesday into early Thursday. Temperatures will climb to the low and mid 90s this afternoon, about 5 degrees warmer than yesterday. High pressure slides in by Friday and we can enjoy some cooler and more comfortable conditions briefly!
