Zidane: Bale to stay at Real Madrid

Bale reminded Zinedine Zidane what he is capable of with an assist in an impressive performance as Madrid opened their La Liga campaign by beating Celta Vigo 3-1.

Bale, who many thought would be gone from the squad by now, put Madrid on their way to victory by setting up Benzema's opening goal.

The Real Madrid boss will be unable to call upon three of the club's summer arrivals, while Marco Asensio is a long-term absentee for Los Blancos.

European clubs have a further two weeks to make signings, but Zidane has ruled out an exit for Bale at this stage.

However, Zidane also offered an olive branch to the Colombia worldwide, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish capital since returning from a loan at Bayern Munich.

'Everyone loves him and it is important that he plays for us.

"It seemed that (Bale) was going to leave but today he is here with us", he said.

All eyes in the wrestling industry are focused on October 4 and All Elite Wrestling's debut on the TNT Network. It will launch its own TNT-based TV show, which is expected to be called AEW Revolution, on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Bale created Madrid's opening goal, which was scored by Karim Benzema, with a superb change of pace down the left wing and was a constant threat to Celta while he also contributed to Madrid's defensive work.

"Nothing has changed, we are all now just thinking about the season", he said. After the match, Zidane said he believes Bale will now stay, with the Spanish transfer window closing on September 2.

"Gareth and everyone else here are going to show this shirt the respect it deserves".

Eden Hazard, who injured his thigh in training on Friday, will certainly start when he is fit again and there will be much tougher opponents than Celta, who finished 17th last season and were dead and buried before Iker Losada delivered a late consolation.

"We were effective. I am happy with what I have seen".

Toni Kroos later stretched the visitors' lead with a superb strike after Luka Modric had been sent off for Madrid, while Lucas Vazquez added a third later on. Real Madrid start with good pace in La Liga in a very tough stadium where they lost so many times.
