Tiger ends season with even-par 72 at BMW Championship

Brandt Snedeker made two wonderful chip shots for birdies on par-3 holes, holing out a 35-yarder from deep rough at 13 and blasting out of a greenside bunker from 60 feet and rolling the ball into the cup at 17. I really found it and hit a lot of really quality shots and putts those last eight holes, but I struggled and it's, I think, very impressive the fact I got a four-under round out of how I hit it today'.

They meet today in a 36-hole, all-Southeastern Conference final split over two courses, starting on the renovated No. 4 course and finishing at No. 2 - the site of three men's U.S. Opens and the 2008 U.S. Amateur. I made it hard on myself because usually I'm pretty good at hitting fairways and greens and I couldn't hit a fairway. but I stayed patient and that birdie on 11 was huge.

Justin Thomas faltered in the final round at the BMW Championship on Sunday but held on for an ultimately comfortable three-stroke victory at Medinah in suburban Chicago.

Thomas fired an 11-under 61 on Saturday at the BMW Championship, thanks to eight birdies and a pair of eagles on the back nine. "I'm just anxious about trying to win this tournament tomorrow".

Woods was a long shot going into the final round to crack the top 30, and he closed with a 72.

There will be no defending champion at next week's Tour Championship after Tiger Woods failed to qualify for the season-ending event.

The day-old course record of 63 set by Japan's Hideki Matsuyama was shattered by Thomas, whose first-round 65 Thursday had shared the course record.

Woods shot 67 on Saturday to improve to equal 31, but is projected to need a top-six finish to advance to the East Lake, where he ended a five-year victory drought last year after returning from a major back surgery.

Spain's Jon Rham was a big mover after a 66 left him at 13-under, one clear of American Brandt Snedeker, who is in a group on 12-under with Rickie Fowler a stroke further back after a 68.

Thomas followed up that eagle with another birdie on No. 17.

"Guys giving me advice in the locker room how to finish off a tournament", Thomas said.

"It looked good in the air", Thomas said.

Thomas rolled the ball past the cup on a 29-foot birdie putt at the par-4 18th then sank his four-footer for par to close a spectacular performance. The event is only his fourth since the Memorial, including a missed cut at The Open Championship and a withdrawal from The Northern Trust last week due to an oblique injury.
