Warm and Humid Sunday, Showers and Storms Develop PM

We will be tracking the storm overnight.

Went for very warm to hot, oppressive highs of 88-91 with heat indices 96-102 now.

For us, with this bow storm system, the main threat will be intense wind gusting to over 50 miles per hour and heavy rainfall. Tuesday will be even hotter with an afternoon heat index from 100 to 110 degrees. There is a "marginal" risk of severe weather for most of us (except north of Milwaukee). Highs in the upper 70s. Expect daytime highs to only climb into the upper 80s as a result. Storms will fire up late this afternoon into the evening hours, you have 60% chances to see the rain this evening.

Muggier and warmer weather will take over this weekend into early next week, which will give us at least a shot at scattered showers and storms.

Ebola spreads to 3rd DRC province - South Kivu
The patients, who included a mother and her six children, had been in contact with a relative who escaped from a treatment centre. Ebola virus disease can cause fever, headache, muscle pain, vomiting, diarrhea and unexplained bleeding, among other symptoms.

As heat and humidity build through the weekend into the start of the new workweek, there will be an increase in the threat for thunderstorms.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Shower/Storm.

Saturday, Aug. 17: Temperatures will be near normal with a high temperature in the low 80s under partly sunny skies. Highs in the low 80s. Highs in the low 90s. Partly cloudy, breezy, chance of storms late.
