Bryce Harper crushes walk-off grand slam to lift Phillies over Cubs

With the Phillies down 5-3 in the bottom of the ninth and the bases loaded, Harper crushed a 95 miles per hour inside pitch from Chicago Cubs pitcher Derek Holland into the stands for a walk-off grand slam for the ages.

Not only did the Phillies walk away with the series sweep, but they did so while also pushing themselves to just one game back in the Wild Card race with a 63-58 record. "He's fun to watch".

Enter, last night's heckler during the Phillies and Cubs game.

With the Phillies down two runs, Harper turned on a pitch from Derek Holland and sent a no-doubt missile into the second deck at Citizens Bank Park. This would be followed up by an RBI single from pinch hitter Brad Miller. "But being able to hit a walk-off homer like that is what you live for".

Chicago Cubs starter Yu Darvish was lights out against the Phillies.

Aaron Rodgers misses Packers-Ravens
The 22-year-old Jackson played two series during the first quarter before Trace McSorley took over to start the second. Jackson added, regarding Rodgers" message: "I was like, "Yes, I know where you are coming from.' I understand".

The adrenaline hit as he rounded the bases: It took him just over eight seconds to go from home to first, but the rest of his home run trot took a zippy 11.3 seconds.

Kyle Schwarber slammed his 100th career homer and team-high 28th this season into the bushes in center field to put the Cubs ahead 5-0 in the fifth. Drew Smyly only threw five innings allowing 5 earned runs. He was 3-4 with one save and a 4.10 ERA for Cincinnati. RHP Craig Kimbrel (right knee inflammation) felt fine after another bullpen session and is closer to returning.

PHILLIES: RHP Edubray Ramos (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day injury list to make room on the 40-man roster for Hughes.

Jean Segura would lead off the inning and in familiar fashion to how the game was going flew out to left field, starting the inning with one out and down by four.

Meanwhile, Rizzo sparked an offense that scored only three runs in its two previous games against the Phillies.
