Lampard lambasts racist abuse of Abraham

Lampard lambasts racist abuse of Abraham

The abuse came after the 21-year-old missed the decisive penalty in the shoot-out that saw Liverpool win the Super Cup at Chelsea's expense on Wednesday.

"There were good parts of the Man United game that got lost in the result but not lost on me - against Liverpool, we played one of the top teams in the world and really matched them".

After Lampard's arrival, Chelsea fans were looking forward to see Kante return to his favoured defensive midfield role, but the French insists he's excited playing from a more attacking position.

While the Blues lost the UEFA Super Cup game too but they fought nearly neck to neck with Jurgen Klopp's side and this was primarily due to the hard work of N'Golo Kante. "But sometimes football comes down to little moments of luck".

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers: "It's a long season".

"You know Liverpool have got to where they have got, and I have complete respect for Jurgen Klopp", said Lampard.

But police stressed that so far, it wasn't clear whether he was trying to frighten people or merely throwing the objects away. The first two items, found at the Fulton Street subway complex, were rice cookers, according to two law enforcement sources.

"I want to support him".

"Kante is an awesome player, incredible character. We've got three games now till the worldwide break and we'll try to win them all", said Lampard, whose team host Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

"To have two more days recovery at this stage early in the season, it's clear that it affects your preparation and it's an advantage to them going in", said Lampard, whose side next host Leicester City on Sunday. When something like this happens it's the first thing I do.

Abraham is still to score his first goal for the Chelsea first-team but is expected to get far more chance to shine this season under Lampard after loan spells at Swansea and Aston Villa the past two years.

Lampard was also delighted with the contribution of U.S. star Christian Pulisic, who made his full debut after signing from Borussia Dortmund in January. I don't think people were queuing up to take it. This is not a negative throw towards Lampard, I wish him well.
