Greta Gerwig Gives High Praise For Emma Watson in 'Little Women'

Little Women has always been a go-to title when we think of classic feminist literature, and we have no doubt that Gerwig will be able to bring her magic to adapt the story for a new generation. Little Women paints a complex, rich portrait of its quartet of female protagonists, and the trailer gives a glimpse into how that portrait will translate to the screen.

Gerwig wrote and directed this version of Louisa May Alcott's seminal novel, about the March sisters-Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy-and their coming of age during the Civil War.

The Harry Potter star will be featured in the latest adaptation of Little Women, alongside Meryl Streep, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, and Saoirse Ronan. Meryl Streep plays Aunt March, while Laura Dern plays Marmee and Timothée Chalamet features as Laurie.

Chris Cooper, Louis Garrel, Tracy Letts, James Norton and Bob Odenkirk co-star in the pic produced by Amy Pascal, Denise Di Novi and Robin Swicord. The movie centers around the March sisters, four young women who are determined to live life on their own terms.
