BTS going on an official and extended period of rest

"The EP was BTS" fourth Top Ten on the chart after Love Yourself 承 "Her" claimed the #8 spot in 2017 and Love Yourself 轉 "Tear" scored the #6 spot in 2018.

BTS' manager Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement that the record-breaking K-Pop band would "enjoy their daily lives as normal 20-something young men, albeit briefly", for the first time since they entered the music scene in 2013.

Have a great break, BTS!

"During this time, the members will rest and recharge in their own personal ways", the statement continued.

Korean pop group BTS are all set to enter zen mode.

"The latest break will be time of recharging for BTS who has worked restlessly since its debut so that they, as musicians and creators, would be able to come back anew", Big Hit said without giving details of the break.

While there's still no Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, we expect it to arrive at an under RM1K price tag. And - you may need to brace yourself - Samsung has killed off the headphone jack in both Note 10 smartphones.

The group's popularity has generated huge profits for Big Hit Entertainment, which is even collaborating with Barbie maker Mattel for BTS dolls.

BTS have announced they're taking a hiatus. "BTS will return refreshed and recharged to return all the love you have and continue to show them", their statement concluded.

Fans are no doubt gutted about the boys' decision to take a break, but the band have been in the spotlight for a lot longer than you may have first thought.

Hundreds of thousands of fans wrote on the BTS Twitter account - which has 21.3 million followers - to wish them a happy vacation.

Although the band is arguably at the peak of their career, the break is one that's much-needed.

Most BTS fans sympathized with the band's need to take some rest, but there were also fans wistful about BTS' absence.

The news comes just two days after Boy With Luv singer V released his solo track Winter Bear, suggesting he'll be taking the time off to focus on new music.
