Body found in search for missing Irish teenager Nora Quoirin

The Lucie Blackman Trust, a UK-based charity that provides assistance to families with a loved one missing, murdered or in crisis overseas, have said "We are aware of reports that a body has been found in the search for Nóra Quoirin".

State police chief Mohamad Mat Yusop said officials were in the process of determining whether the body, of a Caucasian female, was Nora. "Investigations are underway to confirm identity and cause of death", it said in a statement on Tuesday.

The discovery was made on the tenth day of an intensive search of the jungle surrounding the eco-resort where she was on holiday.

However, speaking to press on Monday afternoon, Che Zakaria Bin Othman, deputy police chief of Negeri Sembilan, said: "So far there's no indication of foul play, however investigations are still ongoing". "We are appealing to anyone, anyone who has any information to find Nora".

They believe she was abducted, but Malaysian police have to this point classified it as a missing person case. "At this harrowing time all of our thoughts and prayers are with the family", he said.

To Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon the present economic habitat does not discern like the pre-crisis days of August 2007. Similarly, policy uncertainty is likely to compel companies to lower their capital expenditure, the economists added.

Police have announced the discovery of a body approximately two kilometers away from the resort where Franco-Irish teenager Nora Anne was reported missing.

In a statement, her mother said: "Nora is our first child".

Nora was missing from her room when her father, Sebastien, went to check on her the following morning, Sunday, August 4.

A second Malaysian newspaper, The Star, also reports that a body has been found.

Yesterday, Nora's family offered a €10,800 reward for information leading to her rescue.
