Scaramucci breaks with Trump, no longer backs president’s re-election bid

"Many say just let him act like that, but you're fracturing the institutions and all of the things that the country stands for".

"At this time I can not support his re-election and we need to think about someone new to be at the top of the ticket", Scaramucci said in an interview Monday. "Like many other so-called television experts, he knows very little about me other than the fact that this Administration has probably done more than any other Administration in its first 2 1/2 years of existence".

Asked if he was calling for a change to the Republican nomination for president, Scaramucci said: "Well, I'm calling for it to be considered, yes". "Eventually he turns on on everyone and soon it will be you and then the entire country", he tweeted.

In a statement, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said Scaramucci, "worked at the White House for less than two weeks and is certainly no expert on this president".

Scaramucci has been critical of Trump's racist attacks on congresswomen and called his recent trip to El Paso a "catastrophe" in MSNBC appearances.

Andreescu has a career 2-1 record versus Kenin, who upset world No. 1 Ashleigh Barty in the first round of the Rogers Cup . She took a 4-2 lead on the set when a sure-fire victor by Kenin clipped the net and landed out of bounds.

The loyalist's break with Trump came after the president criticized Scaramucci on Twitter over the weekend.

A former spokesperson for the vice president and current Trump 2020 campaign aide defended President Trump's spreading of far-right conspiracy theories surrounding the death of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

However, despite his criticism of Trump and suggesting that he and other Republicans would stop supporting the president if the racist rhetoric continued, Scaramucci previously stated that he liked the economic policies coming out of the White House. He tweeted: "To those asking, 'What took so long?' You're right".

"We are now in the early episodes of Chernobyl on HBO, where the reactor is melting down and the apparatchiks are trying to figure out whether to cover it up or start the clean-up process", Scaramucci told the news outlet, comparing Trump's presidency to the TV drama about the 1986 nuclear catastrophe in Ukraine.

During the interview, he predicted that the Republican Party as a whole will eventually follow suit.
