Rain & storms likely tonight into Sunday morning

The highest chance for rain this evening and overnight will stay south of the metro, mainly affect far southeast Nebraska and northwest Missouri.

Scattered clouds continue overnight as a few showers could move in late tonight and throughout the day tomorrow.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to a high of around 75 degrees throughout the day. El Paso county, northern Pueblo county, Crowley and Kiowa county and areas north have a threat for severe weather today.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 84; Low - 59. Highs around 90. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

A few chances exist for storms Saturday night into Sunday, the weather service said.

Tonight will be mostly clear and comfortable, as lows drop into the mid 60s.

Today, it will be partly sunny with a high near 87 and an east wind of 5 miles per hour, the weather service said.

A few showers/storms will be possible Friday evening in western Kansas, but they won't last long, ending before midnight. Watch for heavy rainfall, lightning, and strong wind gusts.

Friday should then turn completely dry with partly cloudy skies & 80-85 with low humidity & northerly winds.

A cold front will move through the area Monday night, bringing one more chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Highs will run in the muggy 80s.

Tuesday, Aug. 13 will start out mostly cloudy on a day in which the high temperature will be in the upper 70s.
