Willie Nelson will resume tour next month

Willie Nelson is "feeling better" after a medical issue forced him to cancel upcoming 2019 tour dates.

Nelson has a concert scheduled at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land on November 18.

The producers of Nelson's "Outlaw Music Festival Tour", Blackbird Presents, said Nelson's announcement only affects shows in August.

Willie Nelson is putting his health first.

RIP David Berman of Silver Jews and Purple Mountains
He most recently formed Purple Mountains , who released their debut, self-titled LP this past July via Drag City Records. Berman was the only constant member of the Silver Jews , which he founded in 1989.

Nelson was now touring the USA and had just finished a show in Toledo, Ohio.

Willie Nelson, 86, has canceled part of his ongoing tour, but he is expected to return in time for back-to-back concerts in Upstate NY.

He pulled out of the 2018 Outlaw Music Festival due to illness, just months after scrapping several shows after being hit by the flu. The Associated Press reports the 86-year-old was also scheduled to appear at the Farm Aid concert with Dave Matthews, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Bonnie Raitt on September 21.

"I am sorry to have to cut the SLC show short tonight", he wrote on Twitter.
