Taylor Swift breaks silence on election

After remaining largely silent about political and social issues throughout her career, country-turned-pop superstar Taylor Swift spoke out ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, endorsing two people from her home state of Tennessee's slate of candidates.

On Thursday, August 8, Swift shared a photo from her Vogue cover spread, captioning the 'gram with what appears to be song lyrics from her forthcoming album, Lover.

The singer said she had to make music about it immediately. It was noteworthy because the singer was often the target of criticism for not using her platform to speak up during the 2016 presidential election.

Taylor has managed to successfully keep her relationship with Joe Alwyn out of the spotlight, but many Swifites are also speculating whether "Lover" will be Taylor's way of revealing her engagement. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me'.

I ask her, why get louder about LGBTQ rights now? "Then I realized that was because I was a kid".

Marlins apologize for Irwin tweet toward Rays
On Monday afternoon, the Marlins issued a statement in which they addressed the tweet that referenced Irwin's death. The Marlins then made light of the Tampa's announced intention to play some home games in Canada.

Taylor Swift had to "restructure" her life after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West fans declared her "canceled" amid the "Famous" controversy. "A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled, is a very isolating experience", she explained.

"When you say someone is cancelled, it's not a TV show". It's a human being. Also, you know, the summer before that election, all people were saying was: She's calculated.

It seems that now Swift is choosing to fight for what she believes in instead of worrying about making mistakes.

She added that another concern had been whether her speaking out in support of Hillary Clinton would hurt the Democratic nominee.

She's a snake. She's a liar'. Look: Snakes of a feather flock together. I think a lot of people, with Reputation, would have perceived that I had torn down the house. I was a lanky, scrawny, overexcited young girl who reminded them more of their little niece or their daughter than a successful woman in business or a colleague. Look: The two lying women.
