Nintendo Is Releasing The $200 Switch Lite Console in September

"We will supply the product in which we are best, the IGZO screens", admitted Nomura, which however did not specify which Switch models will be equipped with the new Sharp displays, if Nintendo Switch Lite, the new version of Switch with enhanced battery, or the much-rumored Nintendo Switch Pro.

Now, a previous report from the Wall Street Journal states, that two new versions of the Nintendo Switch gaming console will be released in 2019.

In a surprising move, one of Sharp's top executives revealed that the company will supply its IGZO displays to Nintendo. Given that most games play at 720p or below in handheld mode, it doesn't seem like Nintendo would be getting the most out of Sharp's tech with current models.

Sharp and Nintendo didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

Xiaomi and Samsung Tease Upcoming Smartphone with 108MP Image Sensor
There are plenty of phones with a 48-megapixel camera like the OnePlus 7 Pro , the Redmi Note 7 , and the Honor View 20 . The first is that it will be using Samsung's ISOCELL GW1 64MP image sensor in an upcoming Redmi phone.

We're going through something of a period of change for the Nintendo Switch. Sharp's IGZO displays first showed up in Japanese cell phones in late 2012, and these were soon being integrated into large-scale touchscreens, designed for desktop computer use.

The report adds, "The Kyoto-based videogame maker plans to refresh its Switch lineup with two new models-one with longer battery life set to go on sale in August and a cheaper one for hand-held use going on sale in September". To which he replied, "We will provide what we are most good at, IGZO,".

Independent games publisher Versus Evil in partnership with Obsidian Entertainment today announced that Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch for $49.99 / £44.99 / € 49,99.
