Transfer: Manchester United accept £72m as Lukaku is set for medicals

Inter have cofirmed the arrival of the robust attacker on a five-year deal after securing a transfer worth a reported €80m, which marks a loss on the fee United forked out on the player from Everton in 2017.

Emerging reports have revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had asked the striker to train with Manchester United's U23 squad of late.

Belgium worldwide Lukaku, 26, has trained at his former team Anderlecht for the past two days. Then, in his final season at Manchester United, he struggled for form, drifting in and out of the team and scoring just 15 goals in 45 appearances.

The Belgium worldwide joined United for a reported fee of £75 million (R1.3 billion), plus £15 million (R273 million) in add-ons, and scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for the Red Devils.

Lukaku's agent, Federico Pastorello, posted a picture on Instagram of the two aboard what looks to be a private jet with the caption: "Verified Ready to take off. direction Milano!" He was held to only 12 goals in the Premier League last season, which was the second lowest total of his career.

Fu reiterated China's negative response to a proposal for a new nuclear disarmament framework that would involve the country. He stressed that this is the common voice of the worldwide community.

Lukaku is wanted by both Inter Milan and Juventus but United are yet to receive an acceptable bid.

Now that a deal has been agreed, Lukaku will travel to Italy and has a medical booked for Thursday in Milan.

Lukaku has been fined two weeks' wages - the equivalent of his base salary terms of about £230,000 - by United for missing training without permission this week and a controversial tweet last Friday in which he divulged confidential training data.

The defender is the subject of interest from Everton, with Man United having rejected an offer.
