Real Madrid Offer Man Utd James Rodriguez, Cash For Pogba

Pogba continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer after claiming he fancies a new challenge away from United.

Man United have slammed a £150m price tag on the midfielder, but the offer of Rodriguez plus £27.4m is far below the club's evaluation, with the summer window closing this week.

The offer was rejected last week as it fell way short of their valuation for the France World Cup victor.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his midfield after losing Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the last six months. It's not an injury, just some pain.

"I wasn't expecting him (on the plane)".

Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, as quoted by the Daily Express, Leboeuf said: "I read something that Zlatan Ibrahimovic said to the board that if they want to keep Paul Pogba he has to be in a good mood".

The Japanese electronics maker also demonstrated the aerial machine, flying without any passengers, at a Tokyo suburb yesterday. There's a long way to go to reach those goals though, with battery life, regulatory and safety hurdles to overcome.

And the Red Devils have a need to strengthen in midfield having lost Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera since January without replacing either of the pair. Zinedine Zidane really wants the player, Manchester United don't want to sell, and Real Madrid aren't prepared to go to financial levels which may tempt the Red Devils.

And with Los Blancos able to chase Pogba until September 2, there is the possibility United could lose the player even after the window for Premier League clubs closes this Thursday (5pm). "I spoke to him after training and he didn't feel right", he explained.

"I wasn't going to risk anything".

"At the end of the session today, Paul got a back spasm, the same issue he had last week, when he missed the session in Norway", Solskjær said.

"Players like Jesse Lingard think they're bigger than the club and the manager".

There has not been any direct contact between the clubs over a deal yet but United are still looking to sign a new midfielder after losing Ander Herrera to PSG earlier this summer.
