Universal Orlando Announces New Epic Universe Theme Park

Universal Orlando Announces New Epic Universe Theme Park

They will be contained in a larger 750-acre site that virtually doubles Universal's total available acreage in Central Florida, located several miles away from the resort's trio of existing parks: Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. An opening date was not announced.

Guests will reportedly be able to travel "beyond their wildest imagination" and into "beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as astounding as the destination". Water elements run through the center of the property.

Though we were all kind of expecting Universal to at least confirm Nintendo Land for this new park, specific attraction details weren't shared during the park announcement today.

What we did get to see was some Epic Concept art.

"Our vision for Epic Universe is historic", said Tom Williams, CEO Universal Parks and Resorts.

Epic Universe will serve as Universal's fourth Florida theme park. "It is an investment in our business, our industry, our team members and our community". Universal Orlando Resort just opened the stunning new Wizarding World attraction Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure this summer to high praise and vast interest, so it's not a stretch to say the Wizarding World is something of the beating heart of Universal Orlando Resort at the moment.

As for the rest of the map, a Fantastic Beasts land may not make sense when there's already a Harry Potter world, but Epic Universe would allow them to expand to areas that fall outside what they already have.

The best reactions to the heartbreaking Bachelorette finale
Let's not jump the gun without properly assessing this finale and Hannah's place among her " Bachelorette " predecessors. To summarize: Wyatt ended his non-relationship in his head but not aloud to the other party of the non-relationship.

Universal Orlando now employees 25,000 people and will hire an additional 14,000 team members as part of Epic Universe, including professional, technical, culinary and other specialized positions.

Though it was a little disappointing that no rides, attractions, or IP were announced for Universal's new Epic park, and there is no opening target or estimation yet, it's nice that this project has finally been confirmed!

The company also has theme parks in California, China, Japan and Singapore.

Where will Universal's Epic Universe fit in?

Universal is investing $160 million to extend Kirkman Road into the area where the new park is, which Demings said will improve traffic flow in the area.

The majority of the businesses Universal relies on are either regional firms or national firms with a large regional presence. During that time, Comcast has put more money into theme parks than any other part of the company, Roberts said Thursday.

We will continue to update this post as we get more information!
