Cooler Weather On The Way This Week For the Hudson Valley

Monday: Strong thunderstorms are possible with temperatures holding in low to middle 80s.

Through the rest of the afternoon expect more scattered showers and storms to develop.

It will be another hazy, hot and humid day with highs stretching to 99° in Boston, with a few other spots nearing 100 this afternoon.

A cold front is moving in bringing more chances for showers and storms through Sunday. Along with it's passing, we'll see widespread showers and storms and some could produce heavy downpours and gusty winds. Storms may pop up in the morning hours, but the bulk of the action will be in the afternoon. Partly cloudy overnight with lows in the upper 60s.

After the front moves through we will finally get some relief from the heat and sunshine at the same time! We will keep you updated. Humidity and normal rain chances in the 30-40% range will return for Friday and the weekend.

Another comfortable start on Wednesday with lows around 60 and only warming up a couple degrees for highs Wednesday compared to Tuesday's highs. Overnight lows will be back warm and muggy in the mid 70s. Showers and storms fizzle through the evening, but the front slows down and is expected to stall, so some lingering showers are not out of the question.
