Nokia may be working on Android-powered feature phone, reveals leaked image

If this is true, this will become the first feature phone from the company to run Google's Android operating system. Their phones have been praised for their top notch build quality that the brand has been known for since the early days and the fact that they all run Android One is just an icing on the cake.

Nokia's been killing it in the Android space for the last couple of years. However, it appears that Google wants more than just stakes in another company and thus it has decided to make its own version of Android apt for feature devices.

If the image above, courtesy of 9to5google, is legit, we can expect to see Android on a device without a touch screen. The only real detail about Android for feature phones we've learned is that the standard Android app switcher won't be available unless a device has a hardware button for it.

The feature phone looks like any ordinary brick phone with a taller screen. At the top, one could see the set of icons for connectivity, battery and time.

So if Harbaugh is going to style himself as a truth-teller, that should extend further than just pointing out the easy critiques. Strictly speaking, yes, but the coach would have served himself better by doing anything other than playing dumb.

Since there has been no word on such an OS from Google or a phone from HMD Global, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt. Apart from that, the home screen also features icons for YouTube, Chrome, camera and an app drawer icon.

Nokia could be working on a new feature phone that might not be like any other device in the same segment.

Additionally, there's an indicator below the Google Microphone which reads "Change speaking language" which could be something to do with the Google Assistant or translate service.
