John Carpenter Confirms TWO New HALLOWEEN Sequels: HALLOWEEN KILLS And HALLOWEEN ENDS

The studio made the announcement Saturday, noting that last year's Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and directed by David Gordon Green, went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the horror franchise at more than $250 million worldwide. Now, after months of planning and discussions, Blumhouse Productions have announced we are not getting one, but two sequels to close out the franchise, entitled Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends! October 16, 2020 will see the release of Halloween Kills, the follow-up to last year's Halloween.

Halloween Endswill be released on Friday, October 15, 2021.

An accompanying video focuses heavily on the end of the 2018 Halloween, during which Michael Myers was trapped in the basement of Laurie Strode's forest fortress and burnt alive. The films come on the heels of 2018's installment, which followed Laurie Strode (Curtis) as she navigated life 40 years after facing off against Michael Myers.

"I'm just warming up", Jamie Lee Curtis wrote on Twitter, confirming her return for the sequels.

We've been hearing for some time that Blumhouse is gearing up for another Halloween sequel, with Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak expected to return to face off with Michael Myers again. Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block are producers on both pics.

Halloween Kills will be written by David Gordon Green & Danny McBride & Scott Teems, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill.

Ryan Turek is overseeing both projects for Blumhouse. That film found Strode as a reclusive grandmother still traumatised by her encounters with the killer and praying every night to get one more chance to dispatch Myers. And thanks to a tweet from Curtis herself, we now know a bit more about what to expect about the movie premieres.
