ASAP Rocky Will Reportedly Stay In Jail For Another Week

He is being held in Sweden on charges of assault after a street brawl in Stockholm.

The prosecutor investigating the ASAP Rocky assault case in Sweden has asked for more time to look into it.

The court had initially given the prosecutor until July 19 to decide on whether to press charges.

"We remain deeply concerned about the detainment of Rakim Mayers, also known as A$AP Rocky, and his two companions David Rispers Jr., and Bladimir Corniel".

"We have worked intensively with the investigation and now need until Thursday next week in order for the preliminary investigation to be completed". Another video showed a physical altercation between the two parties. A defense lawyer has said it was self-defense.

He has received support from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who lobbied the White House for his release.

The first season of His Dark Materials follows Lyra ( Keen ), a seemingly ordinary but fearless young woman from another world. His Dark Materials takes place in a fantasy world where human souls take the form of animals, called Deamons in the books.

While rumors have swirled that the rapper is being held in "inhumane conditions", a spokesperson for the prison where Rocky is being held told Radio 1 Newsbeat that while he's unable to comment on individual prisoners, those awaiting trial are served three meals a day and a professional cleaning service "immediately sanitizes" all areas after use.

A petition calling for his release has also garnered half a million signatures.

The U.S. Department of State recently released a statement in support of the rapper, according to Politico.

Kardashian West, who has developed a close relationship with the Trump administration through her advocacy for criminal justice reform, confirmed a TMZ report on Thursday that she and her husband, hip-hop star Kanye West, appealed to the president through his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner to help free the rapper. "Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated", she added, in reference to her meeting with the president to discuss prison reform a year ago.

Earlier this week, Sweden's top prosecutor Petra Lundh said "the fact that a suspect or a plaintiff is known is no reason for the person to receive a special treatment".

After again noting that "so many people" called the White House "asking me to help A$AP Rocky", the president gave credit to First Lady Melania Trump for first bringing the issue to him. "I leave it to the general public to make their own conclusion".
