The Jay and Silent Bob Reboot Trailer Hits Early!

This year, movie fans are set to get a look at some action and horror epics - including the hotly anticipated IT: Chapter Two - as well as the long-awaited comedy sequel Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, from director Kevin Smith.

A day before Comic-Con kicked off in earnest, Warner. Check out the hilarious first trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot!

If you've been waiting with baited breath to see what the return of writer/director Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob franchise would look like, a nice fat surprise just landed on your doorstep. It's all very meta! They're back! Who? Jay and Silent Bob, of course.

Both Smith and Jason Mewes are reprising their title roles alongside other returning stars, and new faces, from their cinematic canon.

"We are huge fans of Kevin Smith and his work, and are privileged that he and his team had faith in us as a partner on "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, '" said Jonathan Saba, Saban Films" Senior Vice President of Distribution, Sales and Marketing, and Executive Producer on the film.

All hell breaks loose from there, as the trailer reveals a plethora of cameos from big-name actors, much like the first Jay and Silent Bob film. Jordan Monsanto of Smodco is producing alongside Liz Destro for Destro Film.

This is everything I would've wanted from a Jay and Silent Bob Reboot trailer. "In Fathom, we have a partner who shares our vision to give fans in every corner of the country the opportunity to catch their counter-culture heroes on the big screen in a true theatrical event". Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group acquired all foreign rights to the movie.

A trailer for the movie dropped today, July 18th, as part of San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and it kicks off with a showdown between police and the duo at the former site of the video store from Clerks, now a "Cocksmoker Chicken Sandwich" restaurant.

For those who haven't been keeping track, the infamously vulgar duo made their first appearance in Smith's legendary 1994 indie smash Clerks, where they spent the the bulk of their screen time hanging out in front of a convenience store getting high, going berserker, and generally annoying the hell out of the film's "protagonists" Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson).
