Neymar tells Paris Saint-Germain he wants to leave

However, following the player's refusal to return to club duty and his representatives telling PSG of his desire to leave, patience with the Brazil global is wearing thin.

PSG are yet to make a formal comment but Sources have been told that talks continue over a potential return to Barcelona for the 27-year-old.

However, it is not any secret that the French champions don't want to do business with Barcelona and they prefer selling Neymar to Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain has rejected an initial offer by Barcelona for the Brazilian star that included a swap of Ousmane Dembele and Phillipe Coutinho, and €40 million, which equates to approximately $44.8 million, Spanish publication AS reports on Tuesday.

The Brazil global confirmed his intention to leave the French capital after talks with PSG's sporting director Leonardo earlier on Monday, according to ESPN. They said they wanted to buy but we were not sellers.

Trump claims he will investigate Google for 'treasonous' China ties
A spokesman for Google said: "As we have said before, we do not work with the Chinese military". In response, Google denied it works with the Chinese military.

Leonardo, who was appointed sporting director earlier this month, has already admitted that Neymar could leave if the Ligue 1 outfit received the right offer.

PSG owner Sheikh Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to at least recover the £198m (€222m) paid for Neymar, and poor relations between the two clubs has left PSG sitting resolute on a £270m (€300m) asking price.

Neymar, in recent times, has made it very clear that he does not want to associate himself with the Parisan club anymore.

However, PSG did not even consider the offer.

The ball is now in Barcelona's court and it is understood the LaLiga champions still believe a deal is possible, despite signing Antoine Griezmann for €120million last week.
