Atletico to sign England's Trippier from Tottenham

England defender Kieran Trippier is on the verge of moving from Tottenham Hotspur to Atletico Madrid, reports in the Spanish and British media said on Tuesday.

PA understands Trippier is set for a medical in Spain on Wednesday ahead of a potential move to the LaLiga outfit after a deal with Spurs was agreed.

Bale scored 11 goals in 40 appearances in a disappointing season for Madrid in 2018-19, as they finished third in LaLiga and were humbled by Ajax in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Trippier helped Spurs reach the Champions League final for the first time in their history last season, where they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in Atletico's Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Eriksen will be in the last season of his current contract if he doesn't leave the club during this transfer window which means that he might either sign a new deal with the London club or may end up leaving them for free, something that will be really disastrous for Spurs.

Atleti striker Angel Correa has been linked with a move in the opposite direction.

Tendulkar's XI, led by Kane Williamson, includes five Indians - Rohit Sharma , Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah.

With the rest of the Premier League's top six well stocked at left-back, it seems either a drop down the league or a move overseas is likely for the 29-year-old.

The Evening Standard says Rose's Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen, 27, has been identified by Atletico Madrid as the Spanish giants look to add creativity to their midfield.

The way the Telegraph tell the story, that may depend on Danny Rose.

Rose, 29, has been granted time off "to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs", along with Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

"Serge Aurier, Davinson Sánchez and Victor Wanyama will return to Enfield to start pre-season training next week following commitments with their national teams at summer tournaments".
