The poster, seen here, shows Jean-Luc Picard apparently in retirement alongside a new companion, a lovable French Bulldog.

While there's no set premiere date, Star Trek: Picard will air exclusively on CBS All Access in the United States and will be distributed by CBS Studios International on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries. (Say, could that be the Eiffel Tower in the distance?) The trailer for the series suggests that Picard has walked away from Starfleet and is in a very different place now both personally and professionally. Former Star Trek: The Next Generation co-star Jonathan Frakes will return to direct two episodes of the series as well.

Alexander Acosta resigns amid Jeffrey Epstein plea criticism
It was never a matter of "if", but "when" Alex Acosta would step down in the days after sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein's arrest . Epstein was put in a work-release program and spent 12 hours a day, six days a week not in prison, but in an office.

The series also stars Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Michelle Hurd. Stick with CinemaBlend for more details on the series as they roll out, and for more news on upcoming television and movies.

We'll find out more when Picard likely debuts at San Diego Comic-Con on July 20 (the series launches on CBS All-Access later this year), but for now, let's just enjoy a cape-wearing Picard hanging out with his new Number One.
