Novak Djokovic vs David Goffin, Wimbledon 2019 quarter-final

With Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal set to square off in the other semifinal, Bautista Agut is the odd man out in a final four that includes the sport's ever present Big Three.

Friday's semi-final will be the pair's 40th meeting and third at Wimbledon after Federer won the 2006 and 2007 finals before Nadal swept to his famous 2008 triumph.

Nadal defeated Sam Querrey to set up another blockbuster showdown with his old rival 11 years after they last met at the All England Club, when the Spaniard won a classic final.

The 37-year-old is also the oldest man to make the last-four of a major since Jimmy Connors at the 1991 US Open.

"Well, we have a lot of information on Rafa, and so does he about us", Federer said.

Nishikori was making too many unforced errors and Federer wasted no time in getting back on level terms, casually putting away a simple victor to make it a set apiece. These are, after all, two of the greatest players in history, winners of more Grand Slam titles than any other men who have played tennis.

In the blink of an eye, the impostor who had seemingly replaced Federer in the early games was nowhere to be seen as the real deal strode out for the second set and promptly won 12 points in a row to take a 3-0 lead.

US, Egypt warn Turkey over drilling off Cyprus
Several peacemaking efforts have failed and the discovery of offshore resources has complicated the negotiations. The second Turkish vessel, " Yavuz , ' has sailed to an area off the Karpas peninsula on Cyprus" east coast.

Eight-time Wimbledon champion Federer said: "It's special".

Bautista Agut, a first-time Grand Slam semifinalist, was supposed to be on the island of Ibiza right now, having a bachelor party with his friends before his November wedding.

Federer was a different player at the start of the second, however, breaking to love in the opening game with a rasping inside-out forehand.

Against Querrey, Nadal was broken when serving for the first set at 5-4. I remember back in the day how he used to serve, and now how much bigger he's serving, how much faster he finishes points. "I know it's not going to be easy but I will enjoy it for sure". I am going to pick Roger Federer to win this match.

"I hope at this stage my opponent feels, when playing against me, that he has to work twice as hard as against anyone else", said defending champion Djokovic who will be playing in his 36th semi-final at the majors. Nadal hit 30 winners in his 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 demolition of Portugal's Joao Sousa, remaining on course for what would be a blockbuster semifinal against Federer. "I stay calm", said Federer, whose ability to stay ice cool under pressure seemed to be the only part of his game still functioning in the first set.

Expressing caution at the rumoured price tag, Nadal actually went on to say that Madrid could do without the player if it means that they have to pay through the nose for him in today's inflated market.

"I'm very happy to be in that semi-final again", sad Nadal.
