Villa complete Tyrone Mings deal Aston Villa

Mings was hugely influential in helping Dean Smith's side to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Villa have wrapped up the deal that will see Mings return after his successful loan spell last season, with confirmation of the club record transfer expected later on Monday.

The England global could be an ideal fit for the club with the striker having proved he can find the back of the net as he scored 67 goals in 160 games for Liverpool.

Aston Villa have signed Tyrone Mings for a reported £20million.

He was Bournemouth's first Premier League signing in June 2015, but a series of serious injuries limited him to just 22 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries.

Speaking on the move, head coach Smith said: "We're really pleased to have Tyrone back at Aston Villa on a permanent basis".

The 26-year-old wrote on his account: "Absolutely delighted to be back as a permanent @AVFCOfficial player".

Aston Villa have already signed another one of their loan stars from last season in the form of Anwar El Ghazi, who has joined the club on a permanent deal from Lille this summer. "I think everybody could see the connection that he made with the club as a whole and it is excellent news that we can continue the relationship in the Premier League".

Hegazi joined the Baggies in the summer of 2017 from Al Ahly and has made 85 appearances for them across all competitions, scoring three goals while assisting twice.

Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips is another target and the club tested the waters with a £14m bid, but the Yorkshire club informed the Claret and Blue they are seeking twice that amount.
