Neymar will join PSG training, says father

It looks as if Neymar is forcing a move away from PSG.

"We have commercial and institutional events to carry out, events that the Neymar Institute has been doing for the last five years now", he told Fox Sports Brazil.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has warned Neymar and his other highly paid stars that they must shape up or ship out, claiming "celebrity behaviour" at the French champions will not be tolerated. For that reason, I don't understand the reason for the statement.

Back in 2017 Neymar had a pretty acrimonious move from Barcelona to PSG for a world record 222m euros (£200m).

But when PSG players including France World Cup-winning striker Kylian Mbappe reported back for training and pre-season medical checks in the French capital on Monday, Neymar was nowhere to be seen.

The 27-year-old was scheduled to report back to the Ligue 1 club's training ground on Monday but failed to show.

"The club regret this situation and will therefore take appropriate action".

The sale of Neymar this summer would not be a huge loss to Paris Saint-Germain, according to French football expert Jonathan Johnson.

McGrath, who must first win the Democratic nomination, would not show similar restraint against McConnell. McConnell's website also indicates he would try to make one of McGrath's potential strengths a liability.

"But to date, we do not know if anyone wants to buy him or at what price".

The club said that appropriate action would be taken and just a day later the club's sporting director has said that the Brazilian can leave for the right price.

In an interview on the same day with French daily Le Parisien, Leonardo said: "It's clear to everyone (he wants to leave). What we know about Neymar we know from the press".

The newspaper said last week the terms include Neymar reducing his salary from around €36 million at PSG to the €24 million he received at Barca in 2017.

In four years in Catalonia, Neymar won the Champions League in 2015 and two La Liga titles, forming a brilliant attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

He will also miss his next three European matches after insulting match officials at the end of his side's Champions League defeat to Manchester United in March.

Any return would likely require Barca to raise funds through sales. Frenkie de Jong has already signed for 75 million euros from Ajax.
