Cuphead Getting Animated Netflix Series

Cuphead Getting Animated Netflix Series

The streaming service announced today (9 July) that a TV series, based on the popular (yet devilishly difficult) video game, is being developed in conjunction with King Features and Cuphead developer Studio MDHR.

The Moldenhauer brothers could not be happier with Netflix's interest in the IP.

Titled THE CUPHEAD SHOW, this bold new venture aims to bring the frantic action and old school animated appeal of Cuphead to the masses.

Self-driving chip upgrade could come to older Teslas this year
The company estimates that there are approximately 500,000 cars that are compatible with the new chip. The name of the Full-Self Driving package has been controversial.

Studio MDHR's iconic Cuphead game is soon going to be a show. "The Cuphead Show!" will expand on the story and world of Cuphead, presumably with the same 1930s rubber band style of animation. Those included works like Betty Boop and Popeye. The game will feature the eponymous Cuphead and his brother, Mugman, as they have to contend with their deal with the devil in a high-stakes gambling match.

Executive producing THE CUPHEAD SHOW for King Features is C.J. Kettler of Netflix's CARMEN SANDIEGO fame. The series will be produced by Netflix Animation and is executive produced by Emmy and Annie Award-winning producer, Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts) and Cosmo Segurson (Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling) serves as co-executive producer.

Platforming game Cuphead is heading to the small screen through a new Netflix animated series called The Cuphead Show! As a fan of the game, I can only hope the trademark dark edge makes it into the show - because anyone who's played the game will know it's not for the most sensitive of souls.
