Gears 5 multiplayer tech test coming next week

The "tech-tests" will feature largely "Versus multiplayer" modes, and will take place across multiple weekends, The Coalition has revealed.

The Coalition and Microsoft have published a new video that illustrates more in detail the multiplayer mode Escalation of Gears 5, which presents several changes and evolutions with respect to the past. The first session will run from July 19 until July 22, while the second will run from July 26 until July 29. Players will need to have pre-ordered a digital version of Gears 5 or be an active subscriber to Xbox Game Pass to access the file. Note that between the weekend test periods, the Tech Test itself will be available for download, but servers will be offline.

Those who participate in the technical test can also unlock a few exclusive rewards.

The Tech test requires Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One. The first one will run from July 19th, 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and running until July 22nd.
