Team Rocket for Pokemon Go Teased Again by Niantic

Ninantic, developer of the globally popular mobile title Pokémon GO, has announced that an armoured variant of powerful Pokémon Mewtwo will be made available in a series of limited time raids starting from next week. You can check out a teaser video for the new prey below.

The Pokemon Company knows that fans are hyped up for Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution, a CGI remake of the franchise's very first film. Finally, Australian gamers will get to tackle Armored Mewtwo from 6 AM AEST on Thursday, July 11. Like in Dortmund, once the doors closed Team Rocket members suddenly photo-bombed pictures snapped using the game's AR mode.

As of writing, it's unclear whether Armored Mewtwo will be akin to plain Mewtwo's original five-star, four-player raid over two years ago.

I didn't have a pair of AirPods with me to compare them in audio quality, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Sonys sound better. Aimed at travelers and commuters, the WF-1000XM3 buds are specifically designed for improved comfort and stability in the ear.

Mewtwo is coming back to Pokemon GO raids but will be sporting a new look.

Since this is coming to an global mobile game, it seems like Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution will be eventually be released outside of Japan. But given Niantic's tradition of reusing content with visual updates in the past, it's probably safe to assume the same here. As Armored Mewtwo is still only a Psychic-type Pokemon, despite its metallic protection, your best options to give it a good fight are Dark, Bug, and Ghost-types.

As for the upcoming Pokemon movie, while it launches in Japan on July 11, it won't arrive in western theaters until November 17. For now, trainers at Pokemon Go Fest Dortmund, keep your eyes out for that iconic dark balloon and be on the lookout for any talking meowths.
