Congress-JD(S) internal feud responsible for crisis in Karnataka: BJP

"I am busy with the BJP membership drive", he said.

Referring to the presence of 10 dissident MLAs of the Karnataka ruling combine in Mumbai, Chavan said instead of focusing on solving people's issues, the BJP-led Maharashtra government was busy working for the downfall of the southern state's government. He is playing all these games. There is complete "anarchy" in Congress and its Karnataka unit is "functioning like an independent entity as central leadership has no say in the state unit", Joshi, a former chief of the state BJP unit, told PTI. I can't reveal all the details. "Everybody is loyal to the party", he said, according to ANI. If the resignation of all 13 lawmakers is accepted, the government of the Congress and Mr Kumaraswamy's Janata Dal Secular, which has a wafer-thin majority, will collapse. "Reddy is the person responsible for the growth of the Congress party in Bengaluru".

While the coalition leaders have blamed BJP for the resignation spree terming it as "Operation Lotus 3.0", the BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa said that they have no role in it.

"In the JD (S), party supremo HD Deve Gowda held talks with the party's newly appointed state President HKKumaraswamy and PWD Minister HD Revanna at his residence to make rebels Gopalaiah and Narayana Gowda withdraw their resignations", party spokesman Ramesh Babu told IANS.

"The reason for my resignation is that I am not able to work for my constituency for the last one year because the present coalition government has not given any funds for the various developmental projects in my constituency and also not consulted before preparing the detailed project report for the proposed elevated corridor project", he said. This time it needs to be clear.

Congress government plunged into a crisis on Saturday with 13 MLAs of the alliance submitting their resignation to the Speaker. A major blow to Congress was its senior leader Ramalinga Reddy's resignation which has shattered the party image.

Everything the Bulls are building this summer would fall apart with the cost that Russ would come with. George's trade for several draft picks, however, could foreshadow a shakeup to the Thunder's roster.

Cutting his visit short, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy will be flying back to India from the USA on Sunday evening.

The MLAs who were seen at the Speaker's office are Ramesh Jarkiholi (Gokak), Pratap Gowda Patil (Maski), Shivram Hebbar (Yellapur), Mahesh Kumathalli (Athani), B C Patil (Hirekerur), Byratibasavaraj (K R Puram), S T Soma Shekar (Yashwanthpur) and Ramalinga Reddy (BTM Layout) of the Congress.

Earlier this week, another Congress MLA, Anand Singh had submitted his resignation to the Speaker.

Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Mallikarjun Kharge met CLP leader Sidharamaiah, Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara, state Home Minister MB Patil, Priyank Kharge and Satish Jarakiholi at Windsor Manor Hotel in Bengaluru.

It is expected that three more MLAs will come to Mumbai on Sunday and stay till the crisis is resolved.

Sources said Vishwanath said that he was in no mood to contest the bypolls and was assured by BJP that he would be accommodated in the Upper House or into the NDA ministry.
