The Rise Of Skywalker Will Reveal Who Rey's Parents Are

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens on December 20.

"This fight, it was November, we had water being thrown at us-I'm not gonna complain about the cold, I'm just not gonna do it", she said with a laugh.

This revelation disappointed many fans, who had been led to believe Rey - like Luke Skywalker before her - would carry on one of the main Star Wars lineages by being either a Skywalker, Kenobi, Solo or Palpatine.

Daisy Ridley has all but confirmed fans will find out who her parents really are when The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas later this year.

Crotty, Barrett to miss Super final, unlikely for Rugby Championship
Brad Weber is recalled at halfback after a strong Super Rugby campaign, usurping his Chiefs team-mate Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi. We're going to have to be hungry for success and we're going to have to work incredibly hard and smart to achieve this.

"To me, it felt like kids going on an adventure", she said of the shoot, suggesting that Rey, Finn and Poe will join forces after being separated in the last one. If people hold something incredibly dear and think they know how it should be and it's not like that, it's fair for people to think they were done wrong.

Explaining this, she said that the upcoming Episode IX is "quite emotional" and has a "different drive" than the earlier films, but is still "a lot of fun". Ridley continued, "It doesn't mean they were - ultimately, Rian's a filmmaker and one person can't dictate how a film is supposed to be - but freedom of expression, sure".

Also in the interview, Ridley talked about an epic lightsaber battle between Rey and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) that's coming up in Rise of Skywalker.

Major lightsaber duel between Kylo Ren and Rey in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will take the fans back to locations in previous movies. Recently, when Daisy Ridley was asked by the Happy Sad Confused podcast about working with Driver in The Rise of Skywalker, she mentioned that the pair are going to have an fantastic battle in the new film. And during a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Daisy Ridley hinted that we may be getting just that, also going into detail about how the 2017 fight came to be. But if Ridley is saying that Abrams plans to answer that question (again), it seems likely he's prepared to retcon Johnson's decision. But "there's a bit in the film where you see me upside down".
