NBA Report: Jared Dudley leaves Nets for Lakers

It was reported that Dudley has wanted to be a member of the Lakers for a while now and figured this would be the ideal opportunity to join them.

Los Angeles Lakers have strengthened their frontcourt presence by adding veteran Jared Dudley on a minimum one-year deal worth $2.6 million.

Dudley averaged 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds on 42.3 percent shooting for the Brooklyn Nets last season while starting 25 of the 59 games he played.

How To Watch Vivo Z1 Pro Launch Event

The last line of Dudley's quote feels like a shout out to Leonard, who has yet to decide between the Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Toronto Raptors.

How far along Dudley was in Lakers talks when he made that tweet is not clear. I just think that when it comes to being from Los Angeles, wanting to be home, and when you're a kid growing up, no one thought about the Clippers. The Boston College-product's most quality minutes came in the Nets' first round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers where Dudley upped his playing time to 23.5 minutes per game.

Dudley is a 12-year veteran who is known around the league as a great locker room prescience and was a nominee for the NBA's Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award last season. However, it turned out that Woj was referring to another player - Jared Dudley. Most notably was Dudley getting in the head of Ben Simmons a bit which certainly pleased Nets fans in Brooklyn.
