Warriors to effectively retire Kevin Durant’s number after three stellar seasons

Durant, who turns 31 in September, is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season because of the ruptured Achilles he suffered in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Despite the success of the Golden State Warriors, Durant still felt uneasy with the team.

Despite helping the Warriors get to the Finals in all three of his seasons, and winning two titles and two Finals MVPs, Durant didn't have the smoothest tenure in the Bay Area. Durant on Sunday announced he would be signing a contract to join the Brooklyn Nets.

This is absolutely ridiculous, HE PLAYED THREE SEASONS, and left a ton of money on the table to play for a different team in Brooklyn.

The Warriors "hope to trade Russell in a deal at some point next season for future assets", according to the Mercury News. Despite being heavily wooed by Warriors players while a free agent in 2016, the former Thunder star never seemed to fully mesh with a squad that had won an National Basketball Association title in 2015 and then set a record with 73 regular season wins just before he arrived.

Study proves cockroaches growing immune to pesticides
None of the three methods fully exterminated the cockroaches - an outcome the researchers said they did not expect. The bugs carry deadly salmonella and E. coli can also spark asthma attacks in people with the condition.

In a way now, the Warriors are considered underdogs, a word that the team probably has not heard a lot in the last few years, especially with Durant aboard.

That is not a smart thing to do.

Curry and Green, especially thrive in the underdog role. That's major bucks for the former No. 7 overall pick. It motivates them. If there are two guys that fit and successfully thrive in being called underdogs, it's Curry and Green.

There are still holes to plug in for now, such as a defensive identity.

Golden State took criticism for clearing Durant to play in that Finals game, which the team won to extend the series.
