Samsung CEO Admits To Have Launched Galaxy Fold Before Time

"Smartphones may decline but new devices will emerge", said Koh on the future of the smartphone market.

With this pressure on its back, Samsung rushed the launch of the Galaxy Fold without making sure that the phone passed all the necessary tests. What remains to be seen, however, is if the other US carrier variants of the latest Samsung flagship smartphones will also get the dedicated night mode soon.

Samsung is giving contrition a try as the launch of its Galaxy Fold smartphone remains in limbo.

Samsung was looking to have its Galaxy Fold in the market in April. Unfortunately the Galaxy Fold was a victim of this thinking without enough testing.

Samsung CEO, DJ Koh said this when speaking to a group of reporters when asked to address the adversity that the company faced after revealing and releasing their first ever flexible display device.

It has also been criticized as evocative of an era when slavery was still predominant in the U.S. Kaepernick reportedly got Nike to pull the shoes from its shelves.

While the CEO has been quite candid about the situation, he has not been able to provide anymore insight into the Galaxy Fold's new launch date.

Koh made the prediction at a media day attended by The Independent in Seoul, South Korea, where Samsung explained what went wrong the Galaxy Fold and where it's now at.

Huawei and Samsung are among the three companies that have the release of a foldable phone in the plans. He also confirmed that Samsung has "defined all of the issues and all of the problems", lending confirmation to recent reports that fixes have been in the works.

In the year 2012, Samsung had launched the Galaxy Beam smartphone which came with an in-built pico projector. Although the company, after months of testing, says it is now ready to sell the handset, the company's mobile chief is not happy with how things went. The Galaxy Fold starts at almost $2,000, making it one of the most expensive phones ever released by the company.
