Brendon Urie steps in support of Taylor Swift, slams Scooter Braun

Scooter Braun reportedly tried to make contact with singer, Taylor Swift, over the acquisition of Big Machine Records. Swift seems to be particularly upset about the purchase landing in the hands of Braun, because she claims the talent manager has been "bullying" her for years.

To rewind for a hot sec, Taylor accused Scooter (and Justin Bieber.and Kim Kardashian.and Kanye West) of being a bully after he acquired her music catalog during a $300 million deal with Big Machine Records. Braun claims he had no idea Taylor felt this way, but his attempts to reach out to her have hit a brick wall.

In her lengthy post, Taylor claims she did not know about the new owner until the news was publicly released and that she wasn't given the opportunity to purchase her own songs. "This is between Scooter and Taylor, not the world".

'While I made zilch. She explained, "Now Scooter has stripped me of my life's work, that I wasn't given an opportunity to buy". He knew what he was doing; they both did. "You religiously go to a church that does not support the LGBTQ+ community", she added of his Hillsong church. The social media showdown played out throughout the day, with Borchetta providing details of the text he says he sent to Swift about the deal the night before it was announced.

Singers Halsey and Cher expressed support for Swift in online posts, while Lovato came to Braun's defence.

Phil Neville says England not beating United States of America will be failure
Somehow this week, on the eve of the two semifinals of the World Cup, one of the major storylines is about a hotel visit. Some have interpreted that as arrogance - predictably, it's been a hot topic in the headline-hungry English tabloids.

It marked another saga in the drama of Swift, who has had a number of public feuds, from former boyfriend Calvin Harris to Katy Perry (who made up with Swift and recently appeared in her latest video, "You Need to Calm Down"). "I value loyalty more than most people in this world and if my name is gonna be brought into conversations I'm gonna stand up for myself and the ones on my team".

"All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I've received at his hands for years", she said after first learning of the deal.

Swift said her disdain for Braun made his purchasing her catalog her "worst nightmare," and concluded her letter by writing she was "sad and grossed out" by the situation.

On Sunday night, Borchetta himself addressed the back-and-forth with a bold move at transparency and shared "a few very important deal points" and a contract document on the Big Machine Label Group site.
