Crews have contained the fire in the second warehouse.

Woodford County Emergency Management Director Drew Chandler tells CBS affiliate WLKY-TV that two barrel warehouses caught fire late Tuesday night.

Crews were able to put out the flames in the second warehouse.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but "weather could have been a factor", Chandler said. Bluegrass Emergency Response Team out of Lexington is bringing foam to the scene.

The cause has yet to be confirmed, but officials speculate a lightning strike could have started the blaze.

Drinkers nationwide are in mourning today, as 45,000 barrels of Jim Beam have been destroyed in a fire.

Meanwhile, Beam Suntory officials said the lost whiskey, which it said was "from the Jim Beam mash bill", would not affect the spirit's availability to customers.

A local business called Woodford Feed also brought in sand to build embankments around the damaged rickhouses to prevent leakage into nearby creeks.

McCracken Pike is shut down while crews actively fight the fire.
