NVIDIA officially announces the GeForce RTX 2060/2070/2080 SUPER GPUs, first gaming benchmarks

Comparing the present pricing to the pricing of the new cards, you can say with a level of certainty that the non-Supers will nearly certainly be getting price cuts. The RTX Super 2060 and 2070 are expected to be available worldwide from July 9, two days after AMD's 7nm Ryzen and Radeon 5700 XT cards go on sale, while the RTX 2080 Super will go on sale worldwide from July 23.

In what's possibly one of the worst-kept secrets in GPU tech right now, Nvidia's got a whole new range of RTX cards, padding out the line-up of existing cards to offer more cads across the affordability spectrum.

More interesting though, is the new RTX 2060 Super, which usurps the RTX 2060 as the mid-range card of choice.

On the other hand, Guru3D claims that the RTX 2070 SUPER is not as fast as the Radeon VII in both Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Battlefield 5 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The RTX 2070 Super, meanwhile, features a TU104 GPU with 2560 CUDA cores, and has the same 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The base clock is set at 1,650MHz boosting up to 1,815MHz and the card ships with 8GB of GDDR6 running on a 256-bit memory interface and total bandwidth of 496.1GB/s.

Freak hailstorm buries area of western Mexico in ice
Six of Guadalajara's suburbs awoke to find their streets entirely blanketed in ice, despite 30C (86F) temperatures the day before. Surreal pictures from the scene show cars buried by the ice, in what locals have described as an "unprecedented" level of hail.

On July 9, Nvidia is going to offer some bundle deals which will get you a free copy of Control and Wolfenstein: Youngblood to play when purchasing a qualifying GeForce RTX 2060 Super, 2070 Super, or 2080 Super card.

The RTX 2070 Super is up to 24 percent faster than the RTX 2070 for the same price, and it's also faster than the GTX 1080 Ti.

Clearly, the RTX 2060 Super is much better value than the base 2060 when you consider the performance gain from spending the extra $50. For the Founders Edition, buyers will have to head over to NVIDIA's official website. And if you do have that sort of money, then you'd be better off buying the upcoming RTX 2080 Super or RTX 2080 Ti, which both offer a bigger leap in performance over the regular RTX 2070. What are your thoughts on the new cards? We hope to have reviews of the cards up soon. With new GPUs from Nvidia, and new CPUs and GPUs from AMD, it's become a busy month for hardware.

GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER slots in at $699 and offers more performance than the RTX 2080 at the same price.
